Info about the Togo Girls' Scholarship Awards

The Gender and Development (GAD) Committee in Peace Corps/Togo has been working with local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for 11 years on a Girls Scholarship project for girls in primary and secondary school throughout Togo. Currently, this project supports 203 students. There are 14 local NGO partners for this endeavor.

Partnership funds are being sought to help continue this effort. For the next school year, 130 new recipients have been selected. The communities involved will be contributing other expenses, such as transportation, lodging, uniforms, and food.
