Description of Service
Worked with straw weavers to develope products to export to United States. OCEPA was a country wide co op of artisans in different cities.
Lessons Learned
Great experience, great memories,everybody should do it. Returned to Ecuador for the first time in Jan and Feb 2003. Saw alot of old friends for the first time in 35 years had a wonderful time but very sad everybody still very poor and struggling. Plan on returing one more time.
About Philipp Auer Today
Returned to college received by degree in Behavioral Science. Spent thirty years with the Justice Dept. Retired in Jan 2000. Self employed and spend the winters travelling outside of the country.
