I taught 5th and 6th grades together in one classroom. My edifices left behind were a basketball hoop and a rice paddy field. I wonder whatever happened to my school principal, Mr. Kung, my students John David, Henry Vallai, Roland Johnson, Betty Flomo; my volunteer friends Richard & Janice Schreck, John and Rebecca Kolkmeyer, Kate Cole, Steve Grotenhuis,Bob Detmer. My Peace Corps experience gave me a philosophy for living life and a career in education. After Peace Corps, I pursued a Master's and a Doctorate in education and educational measurement at UCLA which led to Fulbright opportunities in Hong Kong and Egypt. I spent over 25 years at the United Nations in New York first as a Language Examinations Officer and later in Staff and Organizational Development. I am now working as the Director of Assessment for the City University of at the City University of New York.
