Info about the Lugansk Environmental Preservation through Education and Protection

Lugansk Environmental Preservation through Education and Protection The environmental organization, Green World is seeking Partnership assistance to conduct a mapping project in the Ukraine that will enable the bio-diverse region of Lugansk to be recorded and maintained. In the Lugansk region there are large areas of surviving forest where natural resources and species still exist from the Ice Age. There are approximately 102 species of plants and 70 vertebrates, all of which are endangered. Partnership funds will be used to 1) collect and organize data for publication in and informational campaign booklet detailing all rivers, trails, roads and boarders of the of the preserved reservation along with a species listing; 2) manufacture and post watchdog signs; and 3) to conduct environmental awareness seminars and tours of some of the most interesting reservation sites.
