Info about the Kherson Successful Women - Women's Shelter

"Successful Woman", a nonprofit organization located in the city of Kherson, through the proposed Partnership project wish to provide safe, short-term housing, psychological consultations and medical care to women and their children who are escaping abusive situations. These individuals will be able to live in the shelter for up to 90 days. During that time they will have 24-hour access to trained psychologists, social workers and doctors. "Successful Woman" is one of the nonprofit organizations that take part in the Winrock Trafficking Prevention Program. They also offer courses in leadership and business skills. Therefore, in addition to the services mentioned above, the women who live at the shelter will also have the opportunity to learn new skills that will increase their possibilities for employment and reduce the chances of them returning to their abusive situations due to financial concerns. Partnership funds are needed to buy furniture, housewares, electronics, appliances and a private residence for the shelter.
