[The area] falls on a critical junction of several key geologic terranes. I was able to spend over a year doing full time geologic mapping of this interesting region.I still get inquiries about the work from geologists who are working in the area. I was able to complete my work just as the waters of Lake Volta, behind the dam at Akosombo, began to flood much of the map area. However, most of the critical relationships are still visible above the lake waters."
