 Response June 10th 2010
This is in response to your FOIA request. Specifically, you request the “effective date for changes of the readjustment allowance since 1961, and the amount of the readjustment effective on that date.”
We located three pages of responsive documents. This is the most responsive document available. After careful review, two pages were redacted pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(5), because it consists of opinions, recommendations, and other reflections of staff thinking integral to the pre-decisional, deliberative process. The remaining one page is releasable in its entirety. Attached please find the three pages.
You may appeal the denial of information within 20 calendar days from your receipt of this letter. The appeal should be sent to Earl Yates, Associated Director – Management, Peace Corps 1111 20th Street, NW - Washington, DC 20526. Both the appeal and envelope should be clearly marked “FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT APPEAL.”
