It has truly been an privilege to document the living history of Peace Corps service for the last five years that PeaceCorpsWiki has been online. Thanks you for your help this past July to keep these sites online. The funds contributed will go toward past-due website architecture upgrades have been postponed due to a lack of funding.

How Donations are used.

Donations are used specifically for funding '''site hosting''' and database upgrades which are approximately $350 a month which is up from our $150 last year.

The Peace Corps Wiki is on a "private server" meaning that it receives optimal bandwidth and will never cause an error (September 2009)

History

2009 Campaign '''We raised over $1000''' through Paypal donations.

In September 2009 the wiki was removed from a "shared server" because of the very often other sites with high traffic cause the wiki to "error."

Donations will be used to fund "a private server" where the wiki is allocated plenty of speed and processing power.

$1000 was used in September 2009 to cover the costs of: Moving the wiki to a private server ($500) and reserving space for the coming year September 2009 - September 2010 ($500)

$500 In September 2010 reserved the wiki from September 2010 - September 2011

During our 2011 Campaign: 2011 Campaign'''We raised over $2000'''

This enabled us to reserve a server for the wiki for a third year from September 2011- September 2012 ($500)

Future

Donations to site hosting will preserve the improved loading speed of the Peace Corps Wiki and make editing, searching, and creating data easier and less frustrating.

In the future we would like funding to be allocated toward '''site design''' as well '''PLEASE DONATE A FEW DOLLARS''' ....no limitations .... $1 will help!
