Under the new JHS syllabus, students must learn about computers and take an exam on the subject to qualify for Senior High School. The students in a small town in Ghana have little, if any, experience with computers. Through this project they will learn how to operate a computer and will be more successful in their exams. Also, teachers and administrative staff will be trained in the operations and use of a computer.<br /> <br /> This project was proposed by the school’s Parent Teacher Association. The major part of the community’s contribution to the project will be to supply electricity to one of the classrooms and purchase a projector for the school.<br /> <br /> Note: This summary was provided by a Peace Corps Volunteer and the community administering this project.</div>
