Learning Spanish in the first six months of service, Ben picked up a healthy dose of rural living in Chiguinda and later program management skills as PCVC (volunteer coordinator) in the PC Quito office. The experience fostered an strong interest in private sector applications to social and economic development and led to interesting opportunities in Health and Development after service.
