Info about the Atakpame HIV/AIDS Murals

The NGO Association de Soutien Social - Togo is an Atakpame-based grass-roots association active in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The organization works to inform people about social issues and community problems. One of the largest problems facing the community of Atakpame is HIV/AIDS, especially among high-risk groups such as young people and the military. This project will place anti HIV/AIDS murals at the city stadium and sponsor a rap contest for young people at a local nightclub.

Partnership funds will pay for paint and other materials, the opening ceremony, nightclub rental, and jury member's per diem. The community will be providing free advertising time on the radio, prizes, labor for the murals, and other equipment.
