Developed Community Action groups around village-level projects such as school houses, basketball courts, aqueducts, bridges. Resources (materials, engineers) for these projects came from the Federation of Coffee Growers and the provincial Community Action Secretariat.
Also developed household nutriton and reforestation projects at the village level with cooperation from the Ministry of Agriculture. In Sonsón, Antioquia, where I worked, the most successful projects were household gardens and rabbits (raised more for the value of their pelts than for the meat).
Also recruited for the Peace Corps during the 1968-69 school year in New England.
