After-School Learning Center

Info about the After-School Learning Center
The proposed After-school Learning Center will be a vital space within the local school building where community students will have the opportunity to study in small groups directly with school staff members. The importance of such a space within our community is notable for several reasons. Firstly, to improve the study skills of students who struggles in the larger group class settings. Secondly, to provide an opportunity for students that want to excel their learning beyond the material normally covered in class. The students that normally struggle throughout the year because of gaps in their primary educations will be able to catch up to their peers. Alternatively, more advanced students will be able to pursue specific subjects that interest them, providing them an opportunity to pursue university and career paths in the future. This project is so vital because the parents, teachers and students want to improve and expand educational services in the community, but don’t currently have the proper means to do so.
